In 1905, H.P CADY proved the presence of helium (1,84%) in natural gas at KANSAS USA. This discovery marked the real beginning of industrial production of helium, and it was in 1908 at Leiden laboratory in the Netherlands that liquefaction of helium was first carried out. Since that time, helium in liquid or gas form has been used in numerous applications.
